“Jose Ramos Is Getting Closer to Leaving Univision; What’s Next for Him?,” Latin Times, Nov. 29, 2024 After nearly 40 years, Jose Ramos has announced that he will step down as one of the anchors of the Univision news division at the end of 2024. “Known for his distinctive style and dedication to truth, Ramos has been a cornerstone of Hispanic television, covering major events and interviewing global leaders,” said Latin Times reporter Julimar Herrera. The Mexican journalist has won recognition as one of the 25 most influential Hispanics in the U.S. and appeared on the cover of Time Magazine. Ramos says he’ll continue in journalism after he leaves Univision but hasn’t said what he’ll do. “Networks like Telemundo, CNN en EspaƱol, or emerging platforms aiming to enhance their news content could be ideal destinations for the journalist,” said Herrera.
